Job Description

Exciting leadership opportunity for an exceptional school administrator.  The Beacon City School District is committed to providing an excellent educational experience focused on success for all students.  The successful candidate for this position is one with proven ability as a district leader who can manage instructional technology, student information data systems, and assessment data; has prior administrative experience in a diverse setting; is an innovative instructional leader; and is an effective communicator with a proven record of developing relationships with students, families, and school staff.

Key Requirements:

• Develop, implement, and supervise the use of assessment data, instructional technology, and student information systems to promote 21st-century learning environments.
• Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of our district’s technology plan.
• Plan budgets using SmartBond, eRate and other funding sources.
• Possess a strong knowledge of NYS Learning Standards and K-12 curriculum.
• Supervise and evaluate department staff.
• Lead the work of data privacy and cybersecurity.
• Coordinate district-wide testing.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data to inform critical decisions at the department, school, and district levels.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
• Collaborate with school and district leaders, staff, families, students, and community members to achieve district’s goals and priorities through the facilitation of the Technology Committee.
• Manage student information system and student registration process.
