Job Description

The Executive Director of Human Resources and Operations will lead and manage all aspects of the school district’s human resources function, including recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, and development, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.  The Executive Director will also help the operational departments run effectively and efficiently.  This role will be a key partner in supporting the district’s mission and strategic goals by attracting, retaining, and developing a highly effective workforce.

 

  • Strategic Leadership - Develop and implement the district’s human resources strategy, ensuring alignment with the district’s goals and objectives.
  • Recruitment and Hiring - Oversee the recruitment, selection, and hiring process for all district positions.
  • Employee Relations - Manage employee relations, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts promptly and effectively.  Administer collective bargaining agreements and assist in contract negotiations with employee organizations when requested.
  • Training and Development - Develop and implement training and development programs for support staff, supporting their growth and development.
  • Compliance - Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to human resources.
  • Budget Management - Manage the human resources budget effectively and efficiently.
  • Operations - Supervise the Director of Transportation and provide support to the Transportation Department.  
  • Team Leadership - Supervise and mentor HR staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance.
  • Communication - Serve as a primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries and issues, both internally and externally.
  • Collaboration - Work collaboratively with other district administrators and staff to support the district’s mission and goals.

 

School District Leader Certification required
Salary range $150,000-$168,000
