1 Year Position (25-26 School Year)

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Teacher on Special Assignment will provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention services to students in the subject of mathematics. The teacher will provide small group instruction to students in grades K-5. The requirements and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

• Exceptional understanding of mathematical concepts and ability to scaffold mathematical understandings in a support model;
• Administering diagnostic assessments; 
• Provide scientifically researched intervention strategies in math;
• Creating and implementing a daily intervention group schedule;
• Ability to travel and work with staff and administrators in two schools;
• Ability to collaborate with RTI TOSA teachers;
• Willing to attend professional learning sessions on best teaching practices;
• Attendance at district department level meetings with Asst. Supt. of Curriculum and Student Support
• Attendance at IST meetings when necessary;
• Assist AIS Reading teachers with diagnostic assessment;
• Implementation, as needed, of i-Ready math program or willingness to learn.
