TEACHER AIDES

2025-2026 School Year

The Beacon City School District is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Per Diem Teacher Aides.

Position Overview:

This role involves assisting teachers with routine classroom duties and performing non-professional tasks to support student learning and classroom management. Responsibilities may include:

• Managing records and materials
• Assisting students with clothing and other physical needs
• Monitoring student activities and behavior
• Helping students line up, distributing and collecting papers
• Other tasks depending on grade level assignment

Schedule & Appointment:

• Flexible work schedule tailored to district needs and the employee’s availability
• 6.5-hour day based on school schedule with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
• Appointment through June 25, 2026
• Opportunities exist for employees with strong performance to move into roles with more consistent schedules

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• NYS Fingerprinting clearance required
• Prior experience preferred, but not required

$17.20/hour
