SCHOOL MONITORS

2025-2026 School Year

The Beacon City School District is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Per Diem School Monitors.

Position Overview:

This work involves supervising and monitoring school-age children to maintain order and discipline throughout the school environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Monitoring hallways
• Issuing passes
• Assisting with student supervision
• Addressing behavioral issues under the direction of school administration.

Schedule & Appointment:

• Flexible work schedule tailored to district needs and the employee’s availability
• 6.5-hour day based on school schedule with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
• Appointment through June 25, 2026
• Opportunities exist for employees with strong performance to move into roles with more consistent schedules

Qualifications:

• NYS Fingerprinting clearance required

$17.20/hour
