Job Description

ELEMENTARY MUSIC TEACHER

 

Anticipated Placement: Glenham Elementary

 

Requirements:

• Valid NYS Certification in Elementary General Education 1-6, and K – 12 Music Education, required;
• Prior teaching experience with elementary age students preferred;
• Experience in general music and choral classes;
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with lesson and prep time included in weekly work schedule;
• Demonstrated knowledge/experience working in diverse school communities utilizing culturally responsive practices, preferred;
• Demonstrated knowledge/experience in student and family engagement preferred;
• Must have the knowledge and the ability to use various virtual platforms as needed in relation to the position;
• Strong skills in collaboration, oral communication, and written communication skills, required.
