Job Description

Anticipated Start Date: August 27, 2025

 

Requirements:

• NYS Certification in Special Education and Mathematics 7-12 required.
• Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in the following are required:
  • NYS Learning Standards and curriculum design, delivery, and assessment for secondary education;
  • Effective instructional practices for specially designed instruction and the delivery of special education services for students with disabilities in general education settings and special class settings;
  • Effective, student centered classroom management strategies;
  • Differentiated instruction to support the needs of diverse learners in the classroom;
  • Culturally responsive instructional practices support student learning needs;
  • Integration of technology to plan, deliver, and assess student learning;
  • Use of summative and formative student data to inform instructional decisions and student progress;
  • Effective strategies for student and family engagement;
  • Knowledge/experience with Frontline Direct (IEP Direct) for development, implementation and progress monitoring of student’s IEP’s;
• Prior experience in high school level education desired;
• Bilingual preferred.
