2025-2026 School Year
Rombout Middle School is seeking six committed educators to join our Inclusivity Committee for the 2025–2026 school year. This team will work directly with the district office to support our ongoing mission of fostering inclusive, welcoming environments where every student feels seen, valued, and supported.
Commitment: Approximately 1 meeting per month
Purpose & Role:
As part of this initiative, committee members will:
- Attend monthly meetings (approx. 1x/month)
- Collaborate with fellow educators and administrators
- Help identify areas where inclusivity is thriving and where there are opportunities for growth
- Provide feedback and insights through structured discussions and surveys
- Communicate inclusivity goals with staff and administration
- Support the development of intentional, actionable steps to improve school culture
Desired Qualities:
- Holds a valid NYS Teacher Certification or Related Service Credential
- Demonstrates a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusive practices
- Willingness to engage in reflective dialogue and continuous improvement
- Reliable attendance and engagement in monthly meetings
- Passion for creating welcoming spaces for all students and staff
