HEALTH EDUCATION TEACHER (6^th GRADE)

 

 

ANTICIPATED PLACEMENT: Rombout Middle School

 

The Beacon City School District is in need of a motivated educator who values the promotion of health education and who obtains strong collaborative and interpersonal skills. This is a probationary, tenure-track position that begins at the start of the 2026-27 school year.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid NYS Certification in Health Education Grades K-12.
• Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in the following are required:
  • Effective, student centered classroom management strategies;
  • Culturally responsive instructional practices for Health instructional settings;
  • The ability to co-teach and plan with various other teachers in the district;
  • Experience working with students with disabilities;
  • Student/Family/Community communication and engagement;
  • Coaching experience required.
