Job Description

PROBATIONARY ELEMENTARY ART TEACHER

 

 

Anticipated Placement: J.V. Forrestal Elementary and Sargent Elementary

 

Requirements:

• Valid NYS Certification in Art
• Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in the following are required:
  • NYS Learning Standards and curriculum design, delivery, and assessment;
  • Effective, student centered classroom management strategies;
  • Culturally responsive instructional practices for elementary classrooms;
  • Integration of technology to plan, deliver, and assess student learning;
  • Use of summative and formative student data to inform instructional decisions and student progress;
  • Effective strategies for student and family engagement;
• Must have knowledge and the ability to use various virtual platforms as needed in relation to the position;
• Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills required;
• Experience at the elementary level is preferred.
