SUBSTITUTE ADMINISTRATOR(S) (PER DIEM)

The Beacon City School District offers an exciting flexible leadership opportunity for an exceptional experienced school administrator.  The BCSD is committed to providing a sound educational experience focused on success for all students.  The district is composed of four elementary schools, a middle school, a high school, an administration building as well as a transportation facility.  It has a student enrollment of 2,900 students. 

Successful candidates for this position have demonstrated abilities as a rigorous academic leader, innovative planner and effective communicator who has developed positive relationships with faculty, staff, students and parents.  Must be available for flexible assignments based upon fluctuating coverage needs for school principals.

Qualifications:

  • NYS SAS/SDA, SBL, or SDL certification required;
  • Demonstrated knowledge/experience in curriculum development, implementation; and assessment;
  • Demonstrated knowledge/experience in student social and emotional development, and systems of prevention and intervention;
  • Must have strong communication, collaboration, and problem solving skills;
  • Must possess strong skills in communicating and partnering effectively with parents and caregivers to support student success;
  • Must be available for flexible substitute administrator assignments as needed.  Work days and hours will vary.

$450/day
$225/half-day
