- Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in the following are required:
- NYS Learning Standards and curriculum design, delivery, and assessment for NYSESLAT and ENL progressions;
- Developmental Stages of Language Acquisition Skills for English;
- Effective, student centered classroom management strategies;
- Assessment of Home Language Questionnaires and determination of eligibility of ENL services for new entrants;
- Culturally responsive instructional practices for elementary classrooms;
- Integration of technology to plan, deliver, and assess student learning;
- Use of summative and formative student data to inform instructional decisions and student progress for (NYSITEL and NYSESLAT); Effective strategies for student and family engagement;
- Knowledge/experience of Responsive Classroom, Sheltered Instructional Model, a plus;
- Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills, required;
- Prior teaching experience desired.

- Knowledge of best practices in differentiated instruction, behavior management, and progress monitoring
