Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid NYS Certification in Grades 7 – 12 Mathematics;
  • Implements NYS learning standards for Mathematics Grades 7 – 12;
  • Implements effective classroom management and student engagement strategies to promote critical thinking and problem solving skills;
  • Implements culturally responsive teaching practices to support learner needs;
  • Implements effective student and family engagement strategies;
  • Must have the knowledge and the ability to use various virtual platforms as needed in relation to the position;
  • Implements strategies for collaboration with colleagues in a secondary team model;
  • Prior experience teaching Algebra II preferred.

NYS Certification Required

$56,451 (BA Step 1) - $61,962 (MA Step 1)
