  • NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in the following required:
      • NYS Learning Standards and curriculum design, delivery and assessment;
      • Developmental Stages of Early Education;
      • Effective, student centered classroom management strategies;
      • Culturally responsive instructional practices for elementary classrooms;
      • Integration of technology to plan, deliver and assess student learning;
      • Use of summative & formative student data to inform instructional decisions & student progress;
      • Effective strategies for student and family engagement;
  • Must have the knowledge and the ability to use various virtual platforms as needed in relation to the position
  • Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration and problem solving skills required
  • Strong classroom management
  • Experience in a Special Education class setting


 

Compensation Per BTA Contract

$58,000 (BA Step 1) - $64,000 (MA Step 1)
